
Recently, LISINER’s 23 MWh energy storage project for Chad has been shipped. As a core component, the system will deliver critical support to the Chad PV-ESS integrated project invested by the World Bank under the framework of the United Nations Assistance Programme for Africa.
This project marks another solid step for LISINER in expanding its footprint across Africa. Supported by technological strengths, the company will support the global energy transition. Through customized smart energy storage solutions, LISINER will effectively assist local communities in establishing stable and independent clean energy networks.

Building Resilient Microgrids for Reliable Power
As a Central African nation, Chad features abundant solar resources with an average annual sunshine duration of over 3,000 hours. However, its infrastructure remains underdeveloped, with only 12% of the population having access to electricity. The country’s per capita annual power consumption is less than 6% of the average level in sub-Saharan Africa.
Stable, reliable and flexibly dispatchable power is critical to effective power utilization and the establishment of a sustainable energy system. Adopting tailored solutions for each location, LISINER delivers customized designs adapted to local conditions in Chad.
For the 8 DC containers delivered in this project, the team has strengthened thermal management of battery compartments and weather resistance of electrical systems to ensure the equipment operates under high-temperature environments. Balancing long-term stable operation and high-efficiency power output, the system reserves space for future project expansion. It can smooth PV power fluctuations, enhance grid dispatchability, and support the construction of sustainable off-grid/microgrid energy systems.
Expanding Access to Clean Energy
Against the backdrop of the Dual Carbon goals and global sustainable development, this project will effectively improve local livelihoods in Chad and advance equitable access to energy. Calculations show the project can meet the annual electricity demand of 20,000 households in Chad*, supporting power supply for medical services, education, small-scale production and communities.(Note: Calculated based on an average household electricity consumption of 324 kWh per year in Africa.)
