Forward-looking Practices Win Wide Recognition and Set a Provincial Benchmark

On the opening day of the expo, provincial and municipal leaders visited the exhibition. At the newly launched Green Power Pavilion, they received a detailed briefing on the integrated generation-grid-load-storage smart energy model featuring direct green power connection as well as the whole magnesium industrial ecosystem layout of Wutai Yoening Low-Carbon Science and Technology Park. They commended the forward-looking vision and innovative practices of the project.

Revitalizing Sanjin, Powering a Green Future. As a key provincial project of Shanxi Province in 2025, Wutai Yoening Low-Carbon Science and Technology Park takes direct green power connection as its core advantage. It transforms regional resource strengths into industrial advantages and delivers vital support for the upgrading of magnesium-based material industries.

At present, construction of the project is advancing in an all-round and orderly manner. The industrial park is planned with a total installed new energy capacity of approximately 500MW, covering photovoltaic and wind power capacity, to supply green power directly for production by enterprises within the park. A hundred-megawatt energy storage power station will be built as supporting facilities. Full digital energy management will be implemented to form a perceptible, knowable and controllable green smart energy system.

Upon completion, the project is expected to deliver over 800 million kWh of green power annually. Estimates show green power will account for nearly 60% of the park’s total power consumption. The carbon emission factor per unit electricity can be reduced to 0.2932kgCO₂/kWh, bringing a 10%-25% cut in electricity costs for settled enterprises, which effectively drives the green and innovative upgrading of industries.

Energy Innovation as Engine to Boost Industrial Upgrade

Leveraging abundant wind, solar and mineral resources in Wutai County, Xinzhou City, the park is strategically positioned to foster a development ecosystem of new quality productive forces for the whole magnesium industrial chain. Adopting a full-chain layout spanning mineral smelting, raw material supply, intensive processing and end-product application, it aims to build a national leading hub for lightweight materials.

On the evening of September 28, a special program produced by Shanxi TV Station for this Energy Expo put the spotlight on Wutai Yoening Low-Carbon Science and Technology Park. Staff of the park stated in the interview that upon full operation, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 16 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 1 billion yuan, creating more than 10,000 new jobs and helping translate regional resource advantages into economic strengths.

Rooted in Shanxi and oriented toward the whole nation. As the first benchmark project adopting direct green power connection in the magnesium industry, Wutai Yoening Low-Carbon Science and Technology Park has laid a solid foundation for the replication and promotion of its proven model.

Looking ahead, adhering to the philosophy of Concentrate on MICRO-GRID, Serve thePOWER GRID, LISINER will keep committing itself to the sustainable development of clean energy. The company will expand the innovative engine of direct green power connection to broader industrial sectors and contribute professional expertise to advance the green transition.
