As manufacturing shifts toward high-density and continuous intensive production, the machinery and electrical industry sets higher standards for the stability and regulation capability of energy systems. Energy storage is gradually becoming a key technical pathway to improve power supply security and economic efficiency.

Recently, the 18MW/54MWh commercial and industrial energy storage station built by LISINER for a top 500 private machinery and electrical enterprise in Jiangsu Province has been officially commissioned. Built on the existing photovoltaic power station, it forms an energy structure featuring coordinated photovoltaic and energy storage. It enables green power to be stored, accessible and adjustable, comprehensively enhancing the flexibility and autonomous regulation capability of the energy system.

Supporting Hidden Champions in the Industry for Green Power Upgrade

As a hidden champion with long-term engagement in machinery and electrical manufacturing, the client enterprise boasts highly integrated manufacturing capacity and stable delivery advantages in its segmented product sector. Featuring highly integrated production lines and tight operation schedules, it represents a typical high-load and continuous production scenario with high reliance on power supply continuity and power quality. Power fluctuation or unscheduled shutdown on the consumption side will severely disrupt production.

Combined with the plant operating conditions and operation rhythm, LISINER establishes a dual mechanism of stable power supply and buffering, and develops a smart energy storage solution tailored to the characteristics of the machinery and electrical industry. A total of 6 units of 3MW/9MWh energy storage subsystems are deployed. With high integration and efficient deployment, the system adapts to typical factory conditions including dense equipment, dynamic loads and complex power distribution structures in machinery plants, and meets energy security requirements under intensive operation. Adopting an intelligent liquid-cooled container solution, the whole system reaches IP55 protection grade, delivering favorable environmental adaptability and flexible deployment.

The project boasts cross-regional coordination and energy transfer capabilities. On the basis of realizing coordinated photovoltaic and energy storage operation, it further improves the flexibility of plant load dispatching and the resilience of the power supply system.

The system supports two charge and discharge cycles per day. Calculations show that it can deliver more than 24 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in the first year. It supports multiple dispatching strategies including peak-valley arbitrage, on-site renewable energy consumption and backup power supply. The energy structure can be optimized while guaranteeing continuous production, laying a solid system foundation for the enterprise to participate in advanced energy trading scenarios such as virtual power plants and power market ancillary services in the future.

Continuously Empowering the Sustainable Transformation of the Machinery and Electrical Industry

Up to now, LISINER has delivered multiple projects in major machinery and electrical manufacturing provinces including Jiangsu and Zhejiang, covering sectors such as agricultural equipment, motorcycle spare parts and mechanical components. The projects help the machinery and electrical industry achieve stable energy supply, adjustable loads and independent energy consumption. The application scenarios cover a wide range of complex working conditions, forming transferable and replicable standardized energy storage solutions for the machinery and electrical industry in terms of system architecture, operation and maintenance mechanisms and dispatching strategies.

The successful commissioning of this project represents a highly adaptive implementation of energy storage systems under complex load scenarios in the manufacturing sector. In response to the complex demands and characteristics of high energy-consuming enterprises, LISINER will continuously push energy storage from an auxiliary role to a core workhorse, building a more stable, efficient and intelligent energy infrastructure for China’s manufacturing industry.
