LISINER Develops 160 MWh C&I Energy Storage Project for the Non-Ferrous Smelting Industry

Against the backdrop of deepening awareness of energy security and sustainable development, energy storage, as a pivotal transformative force within the energy industry, is entering a period of rapid deployment. LISINER keeps advancing broad deployment and innovative exploration of energy storage applications, with diversified projects rolling out across the country.

As the largest C&I energy storage project in Hunan Province at present, the steady operation of Phase I (20.7 MW/120 MWh) of LISINER Chenzhou Non-Ferrous Metal Smelting 28 MW/160 MWh C&I Energy Storage Project sets a new benchmark for the sustainable transformation of local energy-intensive enterprises.

Project Overview

Covering an area of 8.5 mu, the project features a grid connection voltage of 10 kV and a total investment of 140 million yuan. It is expected to shift 50 million kilowatt-hours of peak electricity load every year. While ensuring stable power supply for the enterprise, it can support full-load operation of core production lines for 5 hours amid power rationing.

Since grid connection, the energy storage station achieves 100% power consumption daily in line with scheduled operation curves. Calculations show that the station can cut the enterprise’s power expenses by approximately 30 million yuan each year, with the estimated full lifecycle economic benefit reaching 600 million yuan. The platform will support access to virtual power plants in the future to further enrich revenue models, delivering prominent overall economic benefits.

Fully considering customer requirements, LISINER develops a solution centered on “adaptive architecture, AI-enabled management and control, and five-dimensional integrated system”, helping enterprises advance rapidly toward sustainable development.

【Adaptive+】System Architecture

Equipped with 6 units of 3.5 MW/20 MWh subsystems. Each subsystem consists of 1 step-up cabin and 4 sets of 5 MWh containerized energy storage systems.

Modular deployment is realized via string-connected architecture with a “two clusters under one management” topology, eliminating the bucket effect.

The system service life is extended by 30%, and capacity loss caused by faults during maintenance is reduced by 90%.

【AI+】AI-Enabled Digital Platform

The platform adopts LISINER’s end-to-end digital platform to deliver AI-enabled end-to-end collaborative management.

It conducts intelligent regulation based on real-time data including battery status, seasonal climate, environmental variations and load fluctuations. The overall energy efficiency of the solution on the 10 kV side ranges from 87% to 89%.

It effectively helps customers optimize electricity costs, boosts the value of energy storage assets and enables the expansion of a broader range of business models.

【Five-Dimension+】Safety Assurance

Adopting Category A lithium iron phosphate cells, the project establishes a “3 plus 2” safety protection system.

Fire safety follows the mechanism of early warning, pressure relief and fire suppression.

Equipped with an intelligent BMS system, it delivers comprehensive safety protection covering cells up to the whole unit.

Project Value

At the current stage, the project can assist the power grid in peak shaving and frequency regulation, effectively improving the regional grid’s capacity to cope with peak loads in summer and winter. As the largest C&I energy storage project in Hunan Province, the power station carries great demonstration significance and offers strong support for enhancing the flexibility and stability of the local power grid.

With reserved interfaces for integrated PV and energy storage construction, clean energy can be conveniently connected in the follow-up phase. It helps the enterprise efficiently build a green smart microgrid, fully reflecting the multi-dimensional and comprehensive attributes of the project.

Following the development strategy of expanding from individual sites to wider regions and then forming an integrated system, LISINER actively explores innovative “Energy Storage Plus” models and builds a new energy industrial ecosystem. The company will take steady strides to contribute to energy transition and the sustainable development of economy and society.
